LG Guangzhou's 8th generation LCD production line is planned to start construction within the year
according to Korean media on July 13, LG display plans to start construction of the 8th generation LCD production line in Guangzhou within the year
the report quoted a person in charge of LG display as saying that the company is negotiating with the Chinese government to comprehensively promote clean and civilized production and strive to start the construction of the plant within this year
lg display said that the company believes that the LCD market is expected to improve in the second half of the year. If the Guangzhou production line can be successfully started as scheduled, it is expected to be officially put into operation by the end of 2012
during the production process in March this year, LG monitor said that under the condition of poor LCD market performance, the completion and production of the production line may lead to oversupply, and the company tentatively postponed the commencement date
lg display and Guangzhou municipal government signed an investment contract for the construction of the 8th generation LCD production line in 2009. The total investment of the production line (2200x2500mm) is US $4billion. It is planned to be put into operation from the first half of 2012, and the total output will reach nearly 120000 pieces (subject to the input quantity of glass substrates). The production line can also produce 50 inch LCD
